Rainless in Seattle?

Seattle really does deserve a large round of applause and a big THANK YOU from all Seattlites for the great weather we have had in November and December.

In fact, we have only received .25" of rain so far in December, when the average is a little over three inches (komonews.com) - Wow!

Keep this weather coming, Seattle weather gods...but you can send a white Christmas.  Those are really fun.

Santa Baby

"You can say there's no such thing as Santa, but as for me and Frank, we believe!"

No, Grandma did not get run over by a reindeer, but we did find Santa and told him a few things on our lists that he could start working on.

On Dasher...

I, along with about 10,000, other Seattlites gathered downtown bright and early this morning for The Jingle Bell Dash.

Costumes were encouraged and jingle bells were provided so everyone was jingling!

And the weather gods again granted us with a dry morning, so it was a great run!

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Christmas has arrived in our house!  It was a weekend filled with Christmas parties, but best of all we got our tree and hung the stockings.  More garland on the mantle and outside lights to come.
Coming home from the grandiose tree farm (aka Fred Meyer)
Loves his tree

Yes, we bought the tree wrapped in twine because we love living on the edge with no idea of what she will really look like.

Our Shining Beauty

So, yes, her right hip juts out a bit, and there may just be a large hole or two on her backside, but it gives her character.

The stocking hung by the fire with care (and Mrs. Rudolph watching over)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas/Hanukkah!

Turkey Day Weekend

Gobble, Gobble!  It was a great, action packed weekend.  We started at The Hardman's for Thanksgiving dinner.  Here is the scene where delicious food, food and more food was consumed.

Then, it was a Diamond family car ride to Oregon (Frank joined us Friday night), where we spent the rest of the weekend.

Just playing on pallets

And our traditional Thanksgiving weekend wine tasting, of course.  This year we went to Argyle, Amity, Brooks and Witness Tree.  There is nothing like some bubbles and delicious pinots to cap a great weekend!  Cheers!

Tastefully Awkward

It is never too early for an Ugly Christmas Sweater gathering.  Or awkward family photos in front of the fire.

If those are just not enough to satisfy your craving for awkward photos, this should help.

Good times and good friends...

The First of Many

Shazzaaaam, it is here!  Welcome to Soles of Her Shoes.  Through all of my adventures in the last 28 years, I have thought it would be fun to document most (not all) of these great stories.  I have had the up, down and confusing moments and now you get to hitch a ride as I share them with you.  I mean, sharing is caring, right?!
